About me

I am a postdoc at the Department of Mathematics of ETH Zürich under the supervision of Mikaela Iacobelli. Before this I was a PhD student working at the Laboratoire Jacques-Louis Lions (Sorbonne Université) in Paris under the supervision of Bruno Després and Frédérique Charles. I defended my thesis on 18th October 2021, here is my manuscript and the slides of my defense. I am working on models from statistical mechanics, and my research interests lie in the broad area of kinetic theory. My main topic of study is the analysis of systems of partial differential equations that describe plasmas, such as the magnetized Vlasov-Poisson system and the Vlasov-Maxwell system. I am also interested in numerical methods that allow to approximate these systems, such as Semi-Lagrangian schemes.

Interests

  • Analysis of PDEs in kinetic theory
  • Modelling in plasma physics
  • Numerical methods for kinetic models
  • Spectral theory
